IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., at the Indiana State Board of Animal Health (BOAH), 1202 East 38th Street, Discovery Hall Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana, the BOAH will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule that amends BOAH rules governing the movement of animals. The proposed rule amends
345 IAC 1-1.5 to include factors that may be considered when the state veterinarian is approving forms that qualify as an official certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI). It amends
345 IAC 1-3 to remove the requirement for a pre-entry permit for bison, cattle, and swine moving into Indiana if an electronic CVI has been filed with the board prior to the date of movement. It repeals a reporting requirement for swine moving within a production system. The proposed rule clarifies pre-entry permit requirements for fish moving into Indiana and revise the entities that may issue documentation that certifies the fish have tested negative for the viral hemorrhagic septicemia (VHS) virus.
