TITLE 345 INDIANA STATE BOARD OF ANIMAL HEALTH
Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under
IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:
OVERVIEW: Amends Indiana state board of animal health (BOAH) rules governing meat and poultry products inspection. The purpose of the changes is to conform BOAH's rules to the United States Department of Agriculture - Food Safety Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS) regulatory requirements under the federal Meat Inspection Act and Poultry Products Inspection Act (9 CFR Parts 300 – 500). Specifically, the proposed rule amends
345 IAC 9-2.1-1 and
345 IAC 10-2.1-1 to change the incorporation by reference from January 1, 2018, to January 1, 2020. Questions and comments concerning the proposed rule may be sent to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule. Statutory authority:

IC 5-28-17-6, specifically
IC 5-28-17-6(9), investigating and attempting to resolve any matter regarding compliance by a small business with a law, rule, or policy administered by a state agency, either as a party to a proceeding or as a mediator.
