TITLE 345 INDIANA STATE BOARD OF ANIMAL HEALTH

Notice of Public Hearing
LSA Document #20-476

Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on January 26, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., at the Indiana State Board of Animal Health (BOAH), 1202 East 38th Street, Discovery Hall Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana, the BOAH will hold a public hearing that amends rules governing dairy products. The proposed rule amends 345 IAC 8 to add certain manufacturing grade milk plant construction, operation, and sanitation standards. The proposed rule clarifies the standards for the separation of graded and ungraded milk on both Grade A and manufacturing grade dairy farms and defines these terms. It amends the standards for Grade A milk and milk products by updating the incorporation by reference of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) and other FDA food safety regulations.
The proposed rule does not impose costs beyond what is expressly required by state and federal law. Therefore, the proposed rule does not impose costs on a regulated entity that would require a justification statement under IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3).
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana State Board of Animal Health, 1202 East 38th Street, Discovery Hall Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
