Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Department of Health, 2 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Department of Health will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule (LSA Document #22-74) to add 410 IAC 41 to clarify requirements for reporting of abortion complications as required by IC 16-34-2-4.7.

Copies of this rule are available on the Indiana Department of Health website at https://www.in.gov/health/rules/rulesingov/. Pursuant to IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3), the rule does not change what is required to be reported in IC 16-34-2-4. It clarifies the standard, physician's medical judgment, for reporting. It also sets a timeframe of thirty days for reporting to help ensure timely reporting.

Copies of these rules and any documents used to determine justification for the requirements are now on file at the Office of Legal Affairs, Indiana Department of Health, 2 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection and copying.
