Notice of Public Hearing
Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on August 7, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room B, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Office of Administrative Law Proceedings will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to establish a code of judicial conduct for administrative law judges. The Office of Administrative Law Proceedings has the authority to adopt this rule under
IC 4-15-10.5-10.
Working in line with the state's Roadmap to Safely Reopen Indiana, the Office of Administrative Law Proceedings is taking precautions due to COVID-19. Those wishing to attend the hearing should notify the Office of Administrative Law Proceedings in advance of the hearing to be allowed entrance. Those who attend the hearing will be required to wear a mask while in the building.
The proposed rule adds
41 IAC to establish a code of judicial conduct, which sets forth duties and ethical requirements to promote fair practices and unbiased decisions made by administrative law judges employed or contracted by the Office of Administrative Law Proceedings. The proposed rule would not impose requirements or costs under
IC 4-22-2-24(d)(3).
